He leans down, lips parted, and then our lips connect... We didn’t know that this one kiss has FOREVER changed the Land of the Fae.
According to the Prophecy proclaimed many years ago, Princess Calista of the Summer Court is destined to change the Land of the Fae from the evil determined to destroy it. Her powers are phenomenal, and she secretly trains for battle with her handsome warrior friend, Merrick, who unbeknownst to her protects her heart as well, in hopes of keeping it for himself. At least, until the seductive Prince Ryder attends the Guardian Ceremony and instantly sends a fire burning through her veins and a connection so deep they both discover a love above anything imaginable.
No one knows how Calista is destined to change the kingdoms, but there is one that does. He not only craves Calista’s power, but her body as well, and his goal is to steal her power, make her his Dark Queen, and take over the Land of the Fae.
Will the evil succeed in claiming Calista’s soul? Or will the two men that fight for her heart save her from despair, and help her fulfill her destiny to become what she was meant to be.

If you are on my blog frequently you know I have a mega love for fae novels. I can easily say they are my favorite paranormal/fantasy beings..so when I come across a new fae book/series that I love..

Forever Fae had an enchanting scenery, awe inspiring romance, bad ass characters, action, and steamy scenes! Not only that, but I also loved the originality of this fae novel. L.P. Dover added some of her own twists to the fae world, and I completely loved it, two words 'Fall Court'.
Forever Fae switches between three different point of views, Princess Calista from the Summer Court, and Prince Ryder of the Winter court being the two main ones, there is also an occasional point of view from Alasdair the Dark Sorcerer. Sometimes novels that have different point of views can become chaotic and sloppy, but in Forever Fae everything flowed perfectly, it was nice to know the other characters thoughts and see what they were really up to. I especially liked being able to see from the bad guy, Alasdair pov, since we got to hear of his plans before the main characters found out. It made me even more eager to see how Calista, Ryder and Merrick were going to get through his evil plans.
The romance was something I personally really enjoyed in Forever Fae, it is a 'destiny/prophecy' type of romance, so the characters do fall in love very quickly. Although they fall in love quickly, it didn't really bother me all that much, while I did find myself wishing I could have seen more time with Ryder and Calista together, over all I still found their love believable and enjoyable. There is also a love triangle in Forever Fae, but it is not a love triangle where the girl has romantic feelings for two men, it is one where two men have romantic feelings for her. So even if you are someone who dislikes love triangles, then this may be something you would still enjoy. I found the love triangle to be tasteful, and I also found it to be necessary for the story.
"I had a full claim over my heart until you came along"
The characters was what really got me with Forever Fae. I felt they were so real, and each of them was made interesting. Even back characters like Calista's, and Ryder's sisters and brothers were each intriguing, and I found myself wanting to know more about them. Overall my favorite character though was easily Calista. She was so strong, and I loved her occasional sailor mouth she would have.
"You want the feisty and stubborn princess? You got her, fuckface."
I flew through Forever Fae pretty quickly, I would say that it was a fast pace novel, and sometimes it almost seemed like things were going too fast and I just wanted things to slow down a little. L.P. Dover's, imagery was beautiful, I easily pictured the different courts, and especially loved the describing of anything having to do with the Fall Court.
Overall this was a terrific read, if you are looking for a new fae series with heavy romance, some action, and awesome characters, then I would say Forever Fae is something you have to pick up. This has easily become one of my favorite books, and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.
