I love reading YA, NA, and adult paranormal mostly, but I do go into other genres on occasion. Welcome to my review Policy! Thank you for checking out this area before emailing me to request a review, it is much appreciated! Before this new policy I  had a fairly short policy, but due to the numbers of emails I am getting per day I need to point out some things you may or may not want to know before sending me the request! This way if you decide not to email me after reading my policy it will save both you and myself time!(:

-First things first, YA-Aholic does not accept any money in exchange for reviews! I review books because I love to read, and love to share my thoughts on amazing books and discuss those books with other book lovers. All reviews (or posts) are 100% my own thoughts and opinions.

What kind of books do you want for review?


YA, NA, or Adult.

If your book is a YA,NA,or Adult novel here are some things I like (romance being a big one)
  • Romance ( please keep in mind I am very picky if there is NO romance)
  • Paranormal (I extra love fae)
  • Dystopian
  • Sci-Fi
  • Fantasy and Urban Fantasy
  • Contemporary/Realistic Fiction
  • Mysterious/Thrillers (if a romance or kick butt heroine)
  • Historical Fiction
Things that are ALWAYS a plus-
  • A kick butt heroine
  • Gorgeous guy
  • Love Triangle
  • Forbidden love/doomed from the start love
Books I am not interested in-
  • Any books with a heavy amount of religion references
  • Non fiction

What formats do you take?

I prefer hard copies, but do have a kindle if hard copies are not available. ARCs are also very much accepted! I am not a big one on caring about format errors or spelling errors that may or may not be in ARC copies.

What are your reviews like?

In my reviews I include

  • an add to goodreads button
  • links to the book on amazon (and amazon UK),barnes and noble, and book depositry (if it's on there)
  • links to the authors facebook, goodreads, twitter, and website 
  • a rating from 1-5 (5 being highest)
  • summary of book that will be taken off of goodreads or amazon
  • cover art
  • number of pages
  • if it is a series, will list other books in series
  • book trailer
  • PLEASE NOTE- I do not always list everything above, but I do when I remember to or am specifically asked to

How long will it take for you to read my book?

Well, honestly I cannot say for sure how long it will take me. I would love to be able to tell you I will have it read and reviewed within a month of receiving it, but then I would be lying. I do try and get books done in a timely matter, but sometimes that doesn't happen due to life and depending on what books I feel like reading. Obviously though if I am apart of a blog tour I will have my review up on the day I am assigned.

I want a review in the River Talk paper, how would I go about that?

I do also have a weekly column in the RiverTalk newspaper in which I reviews books or interview authors. RiverTalk is a newspaper that is sent out everywhere in the Camas/Washougal area of Washington, a few thousand papers get sent out every week and it's the most popular paper in the area.  If you're looking for me to review your novel in RiverTalk I'm sorry, but I pick the books I review in RiverTalk at random. If I enjoy your novel, there is a good chance I will review it in the RiverTalk though.
