Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father - the one responsible for ruining her mother's life. Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unholy partnership.

In exchange for finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She's amazed she doesn't end up as his dinner - are there actually good vampires? Pretty soon Bones will have her convinced that being half-dead doesn't have to be all bad. But before she can enjoy her newfound status as kick-ass demon hunter, Cat and Bones are pursued by a group of killers. Now Cat will have to choose a side . . . and Bones is turning out to be as tempting as any man with a heartbeat.

Halfway to the Grave was a phenomenal read. This is one of those rare reads that readers will pick up and will not be able to put down. With plenty of action, surprises, romance, hilarious moments, and characters that readers will fall in love with, this is an urban fantasy no one should miss out on.

Half vampire Catherine (Cat) has sworn vengeance on all blood sucking vampires. She hunts them at night clubs by using her good looks to trick them into getting alone with her, and then when they least expect it she drives a stake through their undead hearts. Cat is good at what she does, that is until she meets a sexy and infuriating British vampire, Bones. Cat has just woken up tied up in a cave, and Bones is giving her two options, either die, or help him hunt down the real evil vampires.

Spectacular! Halfway to the Grave was such an immensely enjoyable read. I am personally a huge fan of urban fantasy/paranormal romance novels, and Halfway to the Grave may be my favorite I have read thus far.

First off, the absolute best part about Halfway to the Grave was the relationship between Bones and Cat. Cat is fearless, caring, and stubborn. Then there’s Bones who is feared by many, cocky, and witty. The combination of their two personalities made for very enjoyable dialogue, and hilarious banter. Them together as a pair was so enjoyable to read, but also them as individual characters was just as amazing. They both have been through so much in their lives, and yet still are both so strong. They were each very easy characters to admire, and like.

Along with the main characters Cat and Bones, the story itself was so incredible. Cat and Bones are hunting a vampire named Hennessey, who is running a human trafficking business that steals young girls and then sells them to vampires as blood slaves. This story had so many twists and turns, so much action, so much thrill, that when you finish the book you felt as if you had just gotten off of a roller coaster.

With characters that will grab your attention, and a storyline that will keep you on the edge of your seat, Halfway to the Grave is a MUST read for any paranormal romance/urban fantasy lover. I finished this book in one sitting, and immediately picked up book 2 in the series it was that good! If you have yet to pick up Halfway to the Grave you are seriously missing out!
